A2 Grand Ideas

A small grant scheme to support community initiatives and wildlife recording.

Our Living Levels will offer a Small Grants Scheme - Grand Ideas - to local organisations and community groups across the Living Levels programme area.

The aim of this scheme is to enhance understanding, appreciation, and protection of the Gwent Levels by facilitating community action. This can include creating/improving habitats, increasing recording of species, promoting ecosystem resilience, increasing opportunities for education, promoting engagement with nature, and delivering events that promote the Gwent Levels, its history, landscape, and wildlife.

The funding is open to applications from all constituted groups and organisations that aim to deliver an asset for biodiversity in a public space within the OLL programme area.

The grant scheme will be advertised through social media channels, the OLL website, partner’s websites, and community events.

The maximum funding that can be applied for per project is £1000.

Application will be reviewed by a panel consisting of members of the OLL partnership, who will score each application against the grant criteria. All or some of the items/funds requested may be awarded if successful.

The application window will open on 1st January and the deadline for applications is the 1st March. Successful applications will be awarded by 31st March, and all funded projects must be delivered within 12 months.
