Living Levels Programme Manager
Alison has been involved with the Living Levels programme over the course of its two year development phase and was part of the team which developed the projects and helped secure the grant from HLF for the delivery phase. Her role involves overseeing the 24 projects which are part of the Living Levels, supporting the partners to ensure successful outcomes, and reporting to the partners Steering Group and Board to ensure the scheme as whole delivers its objectives and remains on course.

Living Levels Community Engagement Officer
Gavin has been involved with the Living Levels for the development phase when he was busy running local consultation and pop-up engagement activities. In the delivery phase, Gavin will continue to be the Community Engagement Officer for the scheme and will be focused on delivering our events programme and our community art project, ‘Big Skies’. Gavin will remain the main liaison with community groups for the scheme as a whole.

Living Levels Access and Interpretation Officer
Chris joins the team as the first new recruit following the successful completion of the development phase. Chris will be focusing on delivering a suite of projects in our ‘understanding and appreciating’ theme which are designed to improve the visitor experience and increase access and enjoyment of the Gwent Levels.

Living Levels Natural Heritage Officer
Mark joins the team following the successful completion of the development phase. Mark will be focusing on landowner liaison and the development of good working relationships to ensure the uptake of grants, working with contractors and ensuring that safe and efficient working practices are completed on private land on schedule, to budget, with the necessary statutory consents in place for any habitat restoration and installation required.

Living Levels Finance and Administration Officer
Sian has been with the team since early in the development phase and has been looking after the scheme’s finances. Sian works closely with the team and partners to ensure that we manage the budgets efficiently and that we fulfil the reporting and accounting requirements of our funders. Sian also supports the team and the partners with administrative matters.

Living Levels Administration Assistant
Jemma is one of the newest recruits to the Living Levels team following the completion of the development phase. Working part-time, Jemma supports the team and partners with administrative matters.

Sustaining the Gwent Levels Project Officer
Lewis’s role involves the coordination and engagement of key stakeholders and partners to ensure sustainable land management practices that are unique to the levels. This includes the re-establishment of traditional sustainable farming practices and the exploration of payments to landowners for the delivery of public goods. His role is funded by Welsh Government although there is substantial overlap with the Living Levels project.
