An introduction to nature finance and well-being economics – free webinar
If you are wondering what “nature finance” and / or “well-being economics” are and why you should care, a free webinar on Thursday November 13th 2025 will help with some answers.
The webinar will explore how nature recovery can be paid for by public and private money, and how this affects farming and landscapes, including here in the Gwent Levels.
Living Levels Programme Manager, Chris Harris, will join Cath Howells from Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, Alice Briggs from Tir Canol in mid Wales, and Jane Powell from the UNESCO Dyfi Biosphere to discuss these issues and there will be time for questions and comments. The event will be chaired by Dr Liz Lewis Reddy, who is a specialist in the ecological and economic viability of sustainable land management.
The webinar is free, but donations would be gratefully received. It is organised by CyFAN Cymru and the Dyfi Biosphere and will take place at 4.00-5.15pm on Thursday 13th November. Follow the link below to book a place and leave a donation if possible.
If you are still wondering, a “well-being economy” is one in which everyone’s basic needs are met without the destruction of the environment, and “nature finance” can be public or private money used to support nature directly or indirectly.
