Kick off this December and see the Newport Wetlands as you’ve never seen them before as Tin Shed Theatre presents Big Skies!
Join us for our launch event on Saturday 1st December from 2pm to 5pm at the RSPB Newport Wetlands Centre, when we explore the Wetlands and the history of the Gwent Levels in a unique and exciting way! There will be a trail to follow or just choose to roam freely. There will be secret pop up performances along the way and we're planning a finale at dusk to celebrate the launch of the project. You may even get to see the natural wonder of the starlings murmerations!
Tickets are free and can be booked online or upon arrival at the Wetlands Centre on the day. https://tinyurl.com/y9xkk7y2
Please note the event is free roaming and mainly standing, and takes place outdoors. Please dress appropriately for the weather and, if possible, bring a torch!
All children must be accompanied by an adult please!
As we all know, the Welsh weather can be unpredictable. If we have to cancel the event, we will let all booked audience members know by 10am on Saturday 1 December, and we will also spread the word via social media.
Big Skies is our three-year project that looks to connect people from our urban communities with the rural landscape of the Gwent Levels. Over the next three years, Tin Shed Theatre will develop exciting events spanning the levels, from Chepstow to Cardiff.
Car parking costs £3 per car for non-members and is free for RSPB members. The car park will close at 5pm.
